Soya chunk brown rice biryani




Ingredients

Brown basmati rice 1 cup
Soya chunks 1/3cup
1 Onion sliced
1 tomato chopped
2 Green chillies finely chopped
Fresh yogurt 3-4tbsp
1/2tsp red chilli powder
1/2tsp coriander powder
1/4tsp tumeric powder
Salt to taste
Kasuri methi 1tbsp
Mint 1tbsp
Ghee 1tbsp
Clove 3 no
Dalchini 1 stick
Small elaichi 3
Tej patta 1
Ginger garlic minced 1tbsp
Saunf 1tsp

Method

Wash and soak brown rice in warm water for 2hrs.
Soak soya chunks in warm water for 15-20mins,then  risne the water 3-4times and squeeze,cut the chunks in small pieces and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker,add clove,dalchini,elaichi,tej patta fry well.
Then add sliced onion ,minced ginger garlic,and saute till raw smell goes away.
Now,add chopped green chillies,and tomatoes and cook till tomatoes becomes pulpy.
Then add red chilli powder,coriander powder,tumeric powder,mix well
Now,add fresh yogurt and cook for 2mins
Then add soya chunks,kasuri methi,chopped mint leaves and cook for another 2 mins,till nice aroma of flavours come.
Now add soaked and drained brown rice and mix everything well and then add 2 3/4 cup water and salt to taste.
Then close the pressure cooker and cook till one whistle in a medium low heat.
Serve hot with plain yogurt,or raita.
