Masala jackfruit curry


Ingredients

250gm jackfruit cut 
Potato 4-5 chopped into pieces
Onion 2 finely chopped
Tomato 2 finely chopped
Dry red chilli paste 1tsp
Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
Bay leaf 1
Hing a pinch
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Cumin powder 1tsp
Red chilli powder 2tsp
Coriander powder 1tsp
Haldi powder 1/4tsp
Garam masala 1tsp
Water 1cup or as required

Method


1.Apply salt and tumeruc powder to the jackfruit and keep aside for 10mins.

2. In a kadai heat oil and shallow fry the jackfruit and keep aside.


 3.Then apply salt and tumeric powder to the potato and keep aside for 10mins.
 4.shallow fry the potatoes and keep aside.

5.Heat oil in a kadai add bay leaf and cumun seeds.
6.when cumin starts to sizzle add chopped onions ad cook till it becomes transculent or pink in color.



7.make a paste of ginger garlic paste,red chilli paste,salt,red chilli powder,tumeric powder and mix well.Add them in the kadai and cook for 3-5mins in a medium low flame.
8.Now add chopped tomatoes and cook till pulppy and mix well.

9.Now add shallow fried jackfruit and potatoes,mix well.
10.cover and cook for 5 mins.stir occasionally
11.Add water bring it to boil.Then add garam masala and cook in a meduim low flame for 2mins.

12.cover and cook for 5-7mins in a meduim low flame.

13.masala jackfruit curry is ready to serve,serve hot with rice.
