Jain style no ginger no garlic palak paneer
Ingredients
250 gms palak
Green chilli 3-4
Green fresh coriander leaves
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp ginger paste
2 green chilli
2 tsp hing(asafoetedia)
1 bay leaf
1 inch cinnamon(dalchini)
1tsp red chilli powder
1/2tsp haldi powder
1/2tsp jeera powder
2tbsp almond paste
1tsp black salt
Salt to taste
1/4cup curd
1tbsp wheat flour
400 gms paneer
2 tbsp fresh cream
1tsp garam masala
1tsp lemon juice
Method
1.Blunch palak in boiling water for 2 mins.
3.grind palak,green chilli,coriander leaves to make a smooth paste.keep aside.
4.add ghee/oil in a kadai,then add ginger,green chilli finely chopped and saute.
5.then add hing,bay leaf,cinnamon,and mix well.
6.add red chilli powder,haldi powder,jeera powder and mix well.
7.then add almond paste and mix well.
8.cook on a medium low flame for 2 -3 mins
9.add black salt,and salt and mix well.
10.add curd stir continuously.cook for 3-4mins
11.add the spinach puree. Cook on medium low flame for 7-8 mins
12.add wheat flour(it is added to soak excess water in the gravy).
13.stir and cook for 4-5mins.
14.add cubed paneer.stir and cook for 2 mins.
15.add fresh cream.mix well
16.add garam masala,lemon juice
